Share Radar link or embed view

You can easily share your radar views externally to provide others with access to your insights. Whether you want to collaborate with colleagues, present findings to stakeholders, or showcase your analysis, you can share radar views via a direct link or embed them on other platforms. This allows others to interact with your Radar without needing full access to SCOUT.

  1. Configure your Radar
  2. Click on the Share icon in the top-right corner of your screen.
  3. Set an expiration date (the link will stop working after this date).
  4. Optionally, add a password for security.
  5. Click on Create Link. The pop-up will display: The hyperlink to your shareable radar, the numbers of days before expiration, and options to copy the link or the embed code, send it by email, or delete it.
In this pop-up, you will also see all previously created links for the Radar.

Embed Radar view

Embedding your radar view is simple. You can embed it in a presentation, website, wiki, or even your SCOUT project. Here's how:

  1. Create your Radar link using the above instructions.
  2. Click on the Embed code icon.
  3. Open the project where you want to add your Radar view.
  4. Click on Edit icon at the top right of your screen.
  5. Select Iframe from the list of options.
  6. Paste your code and click Embed.
  7. Save your changes by clicking on the green icon at the top of the screen.

Access restrictions for Projects in shared Radars

By default, external users won't have access to the projects included in your Radar view. If they click the Open button at the bottom of the sidebar, they will be redirected to an error page. This is a security measure designed to prevent the accidental sharing of sensitive information.

However, if you have Admin rights, you can modify this. In your folder settings:

  • You can grant external users access to the projects in your Radar view.
  • Alternatively, you can add a custom URL to each folder, ensuring that all projects included in a folder redirect to a specific link of your choice.

Grant access to projects

  1. Go to your folder settings.
  2. Select Allow access via Shared Radars.
  3. Click Save.
Important: If you enable this option, all Radars shared by you or other group members will grant read access to the projects within that folder. Be cautious, as this may result in sharing sensitive information.

Add a custom URL

You can redirect users to a specific URL if they don’t have the necessary rights to access the folder or the projects within it.

  1. Go to your folder settings.
  2. Add your custom URL. It must begin with https://.
  3. Click Save.
