Radar
The Radar is a dynamic and strategic tool designed to help you analyze, evaluate, and visualize projects effectively. Whether you're comparing projects, tracking progress, or exploring opportunities, the Radar offers a powerful way to navigate and understand your portfolio.
More than just a visualization tool, the Radar is a powerful communication asset. It helps organizations quickly identify, prioritize, and track projects, aligning teams and supporting strategic decision-making.
Configure your Radar
Select folders
To start building and customizing your Radar, follow these steps:
- Create Folders: Begin by creating folders. These folders will serve as the sectors in your Radar, so having them set up is essential for visualization.
- Select Visible Folders: Choose which folders to display on your Radar by clicking on Edit under the Select Visible Folders section, located at the top left of your screen.
Learn more about folders here.
Note: Folders will only appear on the Radar if they contain projects evaluated with the selected indicators for your dimensions (distance and size). For example: If you select the Privacy indicator for one of the dimensions but none of the projects in your chosen folders have been evaluated using that indicator, the folder will not be displayed on the Radar.
Select indicators
You can personalize your Radar by selecting two different indicators for the dimensions of size and distance. The size of the dot, which represents a project, reflects the value of the selected indicator, while the distance of the project within the Radar shows its position relative to the center based on the chosen indicator.
All available indicators can be used to tailor your visualization.
Navigate to the Select Indicators section on the left of your screen. From the dropdown menu, choose the indicators you'd like to apply for each dimension. For a deeper understanding of how indicators work and how to use them effectively, read this article.
Interpret your Radar
As explained above, each dot on the Radar represents a project, and each sector corresponds to a folder. Here's how to interpret the key elements:
Distance
- When the indicator is not Status: The Radar displays low and high zones. Projects with a higher value for the selected indicator will appear closer to the center, indicating greater importance or relevance. Projects with lower values are displayed further away from the center.
- When the indicator is Status: The Radar categorizes projects into three zones:
- WATCH: Farthest from the center; projects to keep an eye on but not act upon immediately.
- THINK: Mid-range; projects requiring evaluation or planning.
- ACT: Closest to the center; high-priority projects needing immediate attention due to their potential impact.
Size
The size of the dots represents the value of the selected indicator:
- Larger dots signify projects with a higher value for the selected indicator, emphasizing their importance or scale.
- Smaller dots represent projects with a lower value.
- No Indicator (NONE): When no indicator is selected for size, all dots are displayed with the same uniform size for equal visual weight.
Navigate your Radar
The Radar allows for seamless interaction, providing quick access to insights for both projects and folders.
Interacting with Projects (Dots)
- Hover: Hovering over a dot or project name will display a quick summary, including the description and all associated indicators.

Interacting with Folders (Sectors)
- Hover: Hovering over a sector will reveal the folder name and the average KPIs for the visible projects within that folder on the Radar.
- Click: Clicking on a sector will open the sidebar displaying: A list of all projects in that sector, highlighted with a darker color on the Radar for easy identification, the average KPIs for the visible projects in the folder, and a link to open the folder for further analysis.
