Materials & Substances
In the MAPEGY.Library, we classify materials into clear families: from metals and alloys, ceramics, polymers, and composites, to semiconductors, rare earth elements, nanomaterials, and smart or functional materials, as well as bioactive compounds, industrial chemicals, and advanced catalysts.
There are, of course, 10 or 100 thousands of materials worldwide. We have built a comprehensive and representative structure that covers this vast landscape as completely as possible
We created it with great care, using multiple classification systems and sources: the Periodic Table, Wikipedia, industrial databases, and expert interviews. In short, it’s a systematic and curated framework built with precision and experience.
We update it once per year, and we add ad-hoc updates when new materials or applications appear.
