Trends: Publications
This is a legacy panel that remains accessible only if it was previously added to your SCOUT Projects.
The Publications panel is a tab illustrates the progression of publication activity over the past 10 years, including news, patents, and research articles.

SCOUT provides you with absolute, normalized, and extrapolated counts. Use the dropdown at the top of the Trends chart to select your preferred count type.
- Absolute counts: Estimation of raw counts of relevant publications issued each year, providing a direct measure of activity.
- Normalized counts: The number of relevant publications adjusted relative to the total publication volume in MAPEGY's Innovation Graph, helping reduce bias and account for fluctuations in global publication activity.
In green, you can see extrapolated counts: A projection of future trends in publication activity, based on statistical regression.
